Preston Powell, a Residential Construction student at Enterprise High School, signed a commitment of employment with Navigator International, LLC on May 23, 2023.
Billy and Karen Powell of Enterprise, AL, parents of Preston, were present at the signing. Staci Hayes, Program Manager for Navigator International, LLC, officiated the signing. Hayes acknowledged the significance of young individuals like Preston in the construction industry, emphasizing that most construction trades are currently facing a decline. She expressed gratitude towards the Career and Technical Center for providing courses that enable students to pursue a career immediately after high school.
Preston demonstrated exceptional proficiency in all offered construction trades throughout his high school journey. His senior year culminated with the distinguished title of Eagle Scout, which instilled in him invaluable traits such as discipline and a strong work ethic. Preston expressed his gratitude to his parents, grandparents, uncle, Buddy Skinner, and Mickey German, his Construction Trades teachers, for their unwavering support.
Looking forward, Preston aspires to progress within the construction field and eventually establish his own construction company.
