The 2023 Alabama Airport Conference was held in Montgomery, Alabama September 24 – 26, 2023.  This event is hosted by The Aviation Council of Alabama https://alairports.com/about-us/  each year.  The Aviation Council of Alabama – Connecting airports and aviation professionals is Alabama’s only statewide airport and aviation association representing international, air carrier, general aviation airports, aviation businesses, economic developers, pilots, aircraft owners, and aviation associations.  The Aviation Council of Alabama is dedicated to continuous improvement, development, and advancements of airports and aviation throughout the state.

The event featured keynote speakers from the Alabama Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Transportation Security Agency (TSA).

NI was represented by Vice Presidents Bill Baker – Government Services and Ben Patterson – Domestic Construction and Staci Hayes – Program Manager from Domestic Construction Division.  Additionally, Staci serves on The Alabama Aviation Council Board of Directors https://alairports.com/board/.  NI was a Bronze Sponsor for this year’s conference and donated a gift basket with a bottle of Navigator Bourbon and Boll Weevil nuts for the annual scholarship fundraiser which netted $4,000.00 during this year’s event.

Also in attendance with the NI contingent was Cas Masiak representing NI’s long standing client/supplier Sprung Structures https://www.sprung.com/ .  NI’s Global and Domestic Construction Divisions have both installed numerous Sprung structures, many to meet both international and domestic aviation infrastructure requirements.
